Congress observes 'Black Day' in Kumta, takes out protest march

Kumta: The leaders and members of Kumta block Congress committee took out protest march today on 8th November to mark the first anniversary of demonetization, which the party observed as 'Black Day' across the country against the Centre denouncing the move.

They gathered near the town's Gibb circle and held a protest march till tahsildar office and submitted the memorandum in this regard.

Participating in the protest, Kumta-Honnavar constituency MLA Sharada Mohan Shetty said that the country's developments were badly affected due to the demonetization of currency notes and the poor are still struggling due to it.

On this occasion ZP member Ratnakar Nail, Kumta block Congress president VL Naik, Ravi Gauda, Ganapathi Shetty among many party workers were present.
