Karwar: Congress President Rahul Gandhi arrived here at Ankola on his two-day electioneering tour in Karnataka where the election is scheduled to be held for 224 Assembly constituency on May 12.

Earlier, Mr. Rahul Gandhi arrived by a special flight at Hubballi and he was received among others by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, KPCC President Dr. G Parameshwara, Congress leader in the Lok Sabha M Mallikarjun Kharge, Ministers D K Shivakumar, H K Patil. Later he arrived here by helicopter.

His today's schedule during the tour of Uttara Kannada district includes continuing party's 'Jana Ashirvada' rally, address the public, participate in road shows and corner meetings at Kumta and Bhatkal.

He will be touring the other coastal districts tomorrow before ending the campaign at Mysore
