Bantwal: An incident was reported here at Mittur in the taluk where a container lorry rammed into a railway bridge on 7th February, Wednesday.
According to sources, a car-laden container lorry rammed into the railway bridge at Mittur after the driver lost control over it. The driver sustained minor injuries to the leg due to the accident.
Following the incident, traffic was blocked and train services were suspended immediately. Railway officials arrived to inspect the railway track and said that the train services will only resume after ascertaining the extent of damage and carrying out the repairs.
The traffic was blocked for a few hours due to the accident.
