Bhatkal: Dacoits have made away with ornaments worth Rs 19,800 from a house in Kargadde 1st cross on Monday night.
According to police officials four dacoits broke into the house of Salahuddin by opening the roof. Placing a sword to his neck the dacoits asked him to part away with all the ornaments and cash. Fearing for his life, Salahuddin gave them all the ornaments kept at house. Not satisfied with the bounty they ransacked the house and ran away without finding anything else precious at house.
In a complaint with the police the victim said that out of the four dacoits, two spoke Kannada and two Urdu. Only one of them had worn mask.
Police officials, are perusing this case seriously and are not leaving any stone unturned. Bhatkal rural police station officials have also taken help of canine squad from Karwar to find clues. The police has also picked up four persons on suspicion and interrogating them. PSI Manjappa is investigating PSI the case.
