Dandeli: Search operation to trace boy attacked by crocodile continues

Dandeli: The search operation to trace the boy who was dragged by a crocodile while he was fishing in the Kali river near Dandeli on Sunday continued on Monday too. 

The 15-year-old Mohin Mohammed Gulbarga, a resident of Vinayak Nagar here, had gone fishing in the Kali river when he was attacked by a crocodile.   

The taluk administration, Forest Department staff, urban and rural stations police have camped at the spot and monitored the search operation.

On Sunday, eights boats were used for the search operation.

On Monday, two more boats were pressed into service. Expert swimmers from Ganeshgudi too joined the search operation.   

Tahsildar Shailesh Paramananda who was on the spot stated that efforts were being made to trace the boy.

The taluk administration had given all support for the search operation, he added. DySP K L Ganesh, City Municipal Council President Saraswati Rajput, vice-president Sanjay Nandyalak, and others were present.
