Bhatkal: Abdul Wahid Siddibapa of Bhatkal, who was arrested on charges of being a member of the banned terrorist outfit Indian Mujahideen and plotting bomb blasts in the country since 2007, was acquitted from all charges by the Patiala House Court, Delhi and ordered to release.
Talking to Sahil Online over phone, Abdul Wahid's lawyer MS Khan said that after arguing the charge frame, the court has discharged the accused Abdul Waheed Sidibapa from all the charges.

Abdul Wahid SiddiBapa was arrested on May 20, 2016 by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) from the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. He was accused to be a relative of a Indian Mujahindeen chief Yaseen Bhatkal. It was alleged that Abdul Waheed used to persuade people to join the said banned organization while living in Dubai. He was also accused of collecting funds in Dubai which were used to carry out terrorist activities in India. But the Patiala house session court acquitted him of all charges framed against him and ordered to release him.
Advocate MS Khan from Jamiatul Ulama, who was handling the case since the first day of Abdul Wahid's arrest, said that he was aware that his client was completely innocent and had been framed on false charges, but now he is happy that his innocence was proved in the court and the court ordered the release of Abdul Wahid. MS Khan said that Abdul Wahid will come out of jail on Monday.
