Kumta: “An innocent youth died at Kumta-Honnavar region due to the provocative speeches by BJP leaders. Such incidents should not have taken place in the peaceful region”, Minister R V Deshpande said. 

He was speaking at the election campaign held at Gandhi Chauk in the town on Wednesday in favour of the party candidate. 

He said BJP does not have other issues except caste and religion to face elections. When B S Yeddyurappa was chief minister, he did not respond on steps to waive off farmers’ loans.
