Survey begins in Uttar-Kannada to educate disabled persons on voting in elections

Karwar: To bring awareness among the disabled persons in the district about the importance of voting in the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections, a survey of disabled persons has begun in Uttar-Kannada district.

District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, and Disabled & Senior Citizens Empowerment Department are conducting the survey of disabled persons eligible for voting, from March 7 to 12. The survey is aimed at identifying such persons and creating awareness about voting.

The data collected in the survey would be submitted to the Deputy Commissioner. Led by tahsildars, special voting awareness programmes for disabled persons would be held in all taluks on March 20, officials said.
