Dubai: The players’ auction for the 12th edition of the grand Bhaktal Premier League (BPL) T20 Cricket Tournament, scheduled to begin on January 4, 2026, was held recently. During the auction, Mohammed Ali Joshiddi emerged as the most expensive player, secured by AZ Diamond Riders for 105 points.
The eight participating teams in the tournament have been divided into two groups:
Group A: Rasbahar Challengers, AZ Diamond Riders, Luxury Zone Titans, Dr. Haneef Warriors
Group B: Ruknuddin Brothers (RB) Chargers, Rising Star, DVS United, T2 Party Official
Among the overall picks, Ismail Minhaj from ANFA became the second most expensive player, bought by Rasbahar Challengers for 85 points. The same team also acquired Abdul Fattah Kunnanguda from USFA for 83 points, making him the third costliest player of the auction.

Several other players were picked by different teams as follows:
- RB Chargers bought Mohammed Safwan Shanu (YMSA) for 79 points.
- T Party Officials secured Abdul Wasi Aydrusa (Madina) for 75 points.
- Haneef Warriors claimed Danish Siddibapa (ANFA) for 67 points.
- Luxury Zone Titans selected Ibrahim Gulrez (Labbaik Nawayath) for 64 points.
- DVS United purchased Nabeel Khan (Shaheen Makhdoom) for 63 points.
Rising Stars picked Mohiddin Shammas (Royal) for 52 points.
Other players acquired at varying point values include:
Mohammed Raees Hamza (60), Mustaqeem Kumshe (48), Syed Afzan (48), Faisal Patel (46), Golte Khaleel (46), Ismail Mohtisham (46), Mohammed Jundub Matta (44), Abdul Samee Shaikh (44), Sarfaraz Jukaku (43), Abdul Ghaffar Tonse (43), Mohammed Aqib Haider (43), Mohammed Aarib (41), Mohammed Naseem (40), Irshad Beary (40) and Mohammed Ameen Siddiqa (40).
The tournament will kick off on January 4, 2026, at the JMR Cricket Ground on Zaid Road, Sharjah, and matches will be played over the course of five consecutive Sundays.
A total of 15 thrilling matches will be played in the tournament.
League matches will begin every Sunday at 3:00 PM.
The semi-finals are scheduled for January 25, followed by the grand final on February 1.
