Karwar: A house was severely damaged in a fire caused by electric short circuit on Tuesday, October 24th. The incident occurred near the Township locality in Dandeli, comes under Uttara Kannada district.

Although no one was harmed in the incident; home appliances -including a refrigerator- were damaged.

The house was not being lived in since 4 days as the occupants were out of station.

Fire brigade personnel who rushed to the spot had to break open the main door to gain entry and douse the flames.
