Dubai: The wait is about to be over for cricket fans as the thrilling tenth edition of the 'Bhatkal Premier League' is all set to commence on Sunday, 22nd January (tomorrow) at the JMR Oval Ground in Sharjah. 

The fixtures for the inaugural day have been announced, with Skinmate Smashers locking horns with Rising Stars in the opening match on January 22 at 10:00 AM. The final of the tourney will be played on February 12. All eight teams - Skinmate Smashers, Rising Stars, Unique Strikers, Aztex Titans, DVS United, Saalif Chargers, Street Warriors, and Abu Dhabi Riders will be facing the league matches followed by two play-off matches.

The tournament will kick off with Chief guest Mr. Mawiya Mohtesham, Manager of Karnataka State Football Team, accompanied by other dignitaries. As many as eight teams will be battling this season for the championship title of 'Jan & Bros BPL-2023', said in a press release by the chairman, Jan & Bros BPL-2023, Mr. Shariar Khateeb.

BPL Commissioner Mr. Taha Muallim stressed maintaining discipline during the entire journey of the tournament and requested all the cricket lovers to witness this mega cricket event in JMR Oval grounds, Sharjah, and make it a grand success.

He further added saying that this year BPL will host 15 matches at the new venue which has facilities of LED Score Board, DRS for stumping and Runouts decisions, and it also has 4 fixed HD cameras.
