Bhatkal: Atleast four people died and one critically injured in a car crash involving a bus on Sunday in Karnataka’s Ankola taluk in Uttarakannada district, around 95 km from Bhatkal.

The accident took place on the National Highway 66 in Baleguli village, under Ankola police station limit.

It is said that the Karnataka State Road Tranport Corporation (KSRTC) bus was on the way to Hubli from Gokaran, while the Tamil Nadu bond car was coming from opposite direction. Both the vehicles collided head-on at Baleguli NH 66.

The impact of the collision was such that the front portion of the car was completely flattened,

The Ankola police after being informed rushed to the spot and conducted preliminary investigations in this regard. The deceased has not yet been identified.
