Mangaluru: JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy said here on Saturday that a meeting of all party legislators will be held in Mysuru on April 16 to plan fight against the government.

He told reporters that the party will launch agitation against corruption in Congress government in the state. "The Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) has been created through a government order by the government only to protect the corrupt. We will shut down ACB within 24 hours if JD(S) comes to power. We will continue our fight against ACB and we have already requested governor Vajubhai Vala for the withdrawal of government order on ACB," Kumaraswamy said.

"I have decided not to raise any corruption issue temporarily. I have learnt from my past experiences that there is no point in raising corruption issues outside. I will take stern and merciless action against the corrupt if people give me an opportunity to rule the state again," Kumaraswamy said.

Taking a dig at newly elected BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa, Kumaraswamy said people of the state will decide the future of Yeddyurappa. "Yeddyurappa has become the party state president, but party leaders and workers are celebrating as if he has become the chief minister of the state," Kumaraswamy ridiculed and asserted that there is no question of JD(S) entering into coalition with BJP in the next Assembly election.

"BJP leaders who sow the seeds of corruption in the state have no moral right to speak against corruption," Kumaraswamy added.
