Bhatkal: Prompt action by lifeguards prevented a potentially tragic incident at Murudeshwar beach on Wednesday, as they rescued a tourist who was on the verge of being swept away by the sea.

Uday Kumar, a visitor from Bengaluru, was part of a group exploring at Murudeshwar.

While enjoying in the sea on Tuesday evening, Uday Kumar found himself caught in a powerful wave.

Lifeguards, who utilized a boat, they were able to rescue him and bring him safely back to shore.
