Dandeli (DHNS): The BJP governments at the Centre and the State have been attracting voters with its tricky words. But in reality, development is zero. the note ban and the imposition of the GST have harassed the people. To cover up its mistakes, it has involved itself in politics in the name of country and religion. Hence, there is an urgent need to bring positive changes in the administration by rejecting such a government,” AICC General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said.

Addressing a convention of the Congress party at DFA ground in Dandeli on Saturday, Priyanka alleged that the BJP government has been masking the welfare schemes of the Congress government and showcasing them as BJP schemes. Claiming that they will create lakhs of jobs, the BJP government has increased unemployment.

“What development can we expect from a government which demands 40% commission? It is time for voters to think this before casting vote,” she said.

She added that BJP leaders are seen in public circles only during elections and during other times, they create a divide in society by planting hatredness in the name of religion and country.

Calling the BJP government in the State as anti-farmer, she alleged that the government has been conspiring to merge Karnataka’s own milk brand Nandini with Gujarat’s Amul. By doing this, the government is trampling the farmers of Karnataka.

“Congress party has been serving the people for so many years and we need your blessings to continue serving the people,” she said referring to the work done by R V Deshpande.

Congress candidate R V Deshpande said that the Congress party is giving the guarantee of the proposed project ‘Namma RVD Mattomme RVD’ and other schemes meant for the comprehensive development of Haliyal, Joida and Dandeli taluks.
