Bengaluru: The police, aided by the fire brigade, successfully located and recovered the bodies of three missing children from Amani Lake in Chikkanahalli, Devanahalli taluk, which falls under the jurisdiction of Bengaluru Rural.

According to media reports, on Saturday evening, after returning home from school, the boys named Karthik (16), Dhanush (15), and Guru Prasad (6) left their bags at home and went to play with their bicycles. However, when they did not return by evening, their family members initiated a search for them. Throughout the night, they tirelessly looked for the children and subsequently filed a missing cboys-drown.jpgomplaint at the police station on Sunday morning.

Local residents noticed the bicycles and clothes near Amani Lake and promptly informed the police. The police, accompanied by personnel from the fire brigade, conducted a search of the lake. Initially, they discovered the lifeless body of Karthik, followed by the subsequent recovery of the other two bodies.

It is suspected that the three boys had ventured to the lake for a swim after leaving school on Saturday afternoon.

Upon arriving at the scene, the grieving parents expressed their anguish and sorrow over the tragic loss of their children.
