Bengaluru : Reacting to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's stand on the alleged "obscene videos" case linked to JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Tuesday said that Amit Shah should clear their stand on whether they want to be aligned with such (JD(S) people or not.
Speaking to ANI, Shivakumar reacted to the Union Home Minister's reaction to the alleged "obscene videos" case linked to JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna.

"Amit Shah condemned the incident. But he said that it is their party issue and they will take action. They have to make it very clear, whether they want to be aligned with such people or not," Karnataka Deputy CM said on Amit Shah's stand.
He further asserted that not a single person in Karnataka believes HD Kumaraswamy.
"No one in Karnataka believes HD Kumaraswamy, every day he changes his stand. Every day he tries to debate things. That is his political history and political story," he said.
Responding to how SIT will bring Revanna from different countries he said that "You better ask the Home Minister of the state and he will be the right man to answer. There is a procedure and they will act on it."

He further said that he don't have any evidence that that Revanna leaving the country was "preplanned."
"I don't have any evidence but I was told that senior leaders of the party helped him (Prajwal Revanna) to leave the country. I was told so. I don't have any evidence of it," he added.
When asked about his statement that "there was nowhere I was connected with this video (Prajwal Revanna's 'obscene videos')", Karnataka Deputy CM said that without remembering me both BJP and JD(S) cannot sleep.
"BJP if they don't remember me, both BJP and JD(S) won't get sleep and digestion. When they think about me they get energy also. In the morning and before sleeping, they should think about me and start their work," he said.

Earlier today, on the alleged obscene video case involving Janata Dal (Secular) MP Prajwal Revanna, Shah said that BJP stands with the 'Matr Shakti' while criticising the ruling Congress government in Karnataka for allegedly delaying action.
"BJP's stand is clear that we stand with the 'Matr Shakti' of the country. I want to ask Congress and Priyanka ji who is demanding action, whose government is there? The government is of Congress Party. Why they have not taken any action till now? We do not have to take action on this as this is a law and order issue of the state, state government has to take action on it," he said.
"We support the investigation and our partner JD(S) has also announced to take action against it. Today there is a meeting of their core committee and steps will be taken," Shah added.

JD(S) is an ally of BJP in Karnataka and Revanna is seeking a fresh term from Hassan as an NDA candidate. The incumbent MP is also the grandson of former PM and JD(S) supremo HD Deve Gowda.
Earlier today, the National Commission for Women wrote to Karnataka's deputy general of police, Alok Mohan, regarding the 'obscene videos' case linked to the suspended Janata Dal (Secular) MP Prajwal Revanna from Karnataka's Hassan constituency and grandson of former PM HD Deve Gowda.
The core committee of the Janata Dal (Secular) recommended the suspension of Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna who is facing an SIT probe in connection with an alleged obscene video case.
Prajwal Revanna was booked in a sexual harassment case on Sunday following complaints by his former house help. An FIR has been filed against Prajwal Revanna, his father and JD (S) leader HD Revanna in connection with the case.

The case has been registered under sections 354A, 354D, 506, and 509 of the IPC on charges of sexual harassment, intimidation and outraging the dignity of a woman.
As per the complaint, the victim has claimed that both HD Revanna and Prajwal Revanna sexually assaulted her. The complainant further claimed that when Revanna's wife was not home, he touched her inappropriately and used to sexually assault her.
The complainant also claimed that Prajwal Revanna behaved rudely to her and also misbehaved with her daughter over a video call.
"My daughter blocked his number after repeated calls," the complainant said. Earlier, on April 25, the chairperson of the state women's panel requested CM Siddaramaiah to order an SIT probe into the obscene clips, allegedly involving the JD(S) MP, circulating on social media.

After the request, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah informed on April 28 that the state government has decided to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in connection with Prajwal Revanna's alleged obscene video case in Hassan district.
The BJP on Sunday distanced itself from the sitting Janata Dal (Secular) MP from Hassan Lok Sabha constituency, Prajwal Revanna, amid the controversy around his purported sleaze tapes.
