Irfan was engaged in fishing using a net when he accidentally fell into the sea and became entangled in his own fishing net. Despite the nearby presence of local fishermen who attempted to help him using their boat, the rough waves caused the boat to capsize.

The local community made relentless efforts to rescue Irfan from the sea and rushed him to Honavar Hospital in a severely injured condition. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, Irfan could not be saved and passed away upon reaching the hospital.

Irfan, a resident of Manki's Noor Mohalla, leaves behind two daughters and a younger son. He was the sole provider for his family through his fishing endeavors. The sudden demise of Irfan has plunged his family and the entire area into mourning and shock.

Following the completion of a postmortem examination at Honavar Government Hospital, Irfan's body was brought back home around 8 pm.

The Manki police station has registered a case in connection with this tragic incident.
