Karwar: Janata Darshan event held at Sagar Darshan Sabhabhavan, District In-charge Minister Mankal Vaidya received more than 162 petitions from local residents on Monday at Karwar.

The majority of these petitions focused on issues related to farmland title deeds, land allocation for scheduled community members, and the absence of access roads to their homes and villages.darshan11.jpg

Following the receipt of these grievances, Mankal Vaidya emphasized the importance of promptly addressing these concerns. He instructed the officials to resolve the petitions within the next few days. Vaidya also highlighted that due to the previous government's lack of action, there was a prevailing misconception among the public that their problems would go unresolved. To counter this, the Janata Darshan program was organized, aiming to prove otherwise. Vaidya shared that he used to hold Janata Darshan sessions every Sunday at his home in Murdeshwar to actively listen to people's issues. Now, the government has adopted a similar initiative to attentively address the concerns of the public.

Vaidya urged the officers to respond promptly to these issues and emphasized that they were free to resign from their positions if they failed to do so or remained indifferent.

Deputy Commissioner Gangubai Mankar, in her opening remarks, stated that the government had initiated the Janata Darshan program to assist citizens who often faced bureaucratic hurdles when seeking assistance from government offices.
