Mangaluru: Syed Naseer Hussain, a Member of Parliament expressed his confidence in the Congress party's victory in the upcoming assembly elections in five states. Hussain stated that this triumph would significantly bolster the Congress party as they prepare for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Speaking at Mangaluru,  Congress party's underperformance in the coastal region, Hussain attributed it to polarization that hindered the region's progress. He stressed that the party's focus would now be on development initiatives and fostering communal harmony in the area.

The Member of Parliament emphasized that the Congress-led state government would not tolerate incidents of moral policing, violence in the name of political ideology, or hate speech.

Hussain mentioned that the formation of the INDIA alliance had caused concern for the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, leading them to level allegations against INDIA on various political platforms.

He clarified that the contractors who were subject to Income Tax department raids had no affiliation with the party, and the legal process would proceed as necessary.
