Mangaluru: Activists various outfits, including Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal, today staged a protest here against the "anti-Hindu policies" of the Congress-led government in the state.
Addressing the protestors, RSS regional chief Sitharam alleged that the arrests of Hindu leaders on 'false charges' in connection with recent violent incidents in Bantwal taluk in Dakshina Kannada district proved that the government was appeasing the minorities.
VHP district president Jagadish Shenava said culprits behind the murder of RSS worker Sarath Madiwala had not been arrested even ten days after his death.
Police also 'failed' to file cases against those who threw stones at the funeral procession of Madiwala, who was stabbed by unidentified persons on July 4 and died three days later, he alleged.
Bajarang Dal leader Raghu Sakleshpur and VHP leader M B Puranik were among those spoke.
The protestors demanded an NIA investigation into the RSS worker's murder besides withdrawal of cases against Hindu outfit leaders.
