Mangaluru ( DHNS): A man has lost Rs 8.78 lakh to online fraud and has has filed a complaint to CEN station.

In the name of completing a task using a link online, he has lost the money. In his complaint, he said that he had received a message from an unknown number on March 3. 

The sender had sent a Telegram app link. On clicking the link, there were eight challenges to complete to win the money. 

Accordingly, he was asked to transfer Rs 4.25 lakh. 

Later, he was promised a loan through an app. In a phased manner, he was asked to pay Rs 8.78 lakh. Having realised that he was duped, he filed a complaint to the police.
