Bhatkal: Amidst the evolving landscape of the nation, renowned Islamic scholar and Vice President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Mr. S. Ameenul Hasan, highlighted the crucial role of Muslims in steering positive change. He underscored that despite the unpredictable shifts in the country's conditions, it is imperative for Muslims to persistently fulfill their duties, contributing to peace and harmony in India and actively engaging in societal work.

Addressing leaders of the Muslim community and Bhatkal residents at an event hosted by the century-old social organization, Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem Bhatkal, at Nawayat Colony Rabita Hall, Mr. Hasan pointed out the disparity between the portrayal of India in the media and its reality. He observed that the essence of real India is found in its villages and towns. He acknowledged that a significant portion of the country's majority community is still well-regarded, highlighting the existence of business partnerships between Hindus and Muslims, and recognizing Hindu journalists, judges, lawyers, social workers, and writers who advocate for Muslim rights, offering a balanced perspective.

Mr. Hasan illustrated his point with an analogy of a two-story boat, where the interaction between the occupants of the upper and lower decks over water access symbolizes the interdependence of communities. He warned that damaging this balance could lead to the downfall of both Muslims and the nation itself. Thus, he emphasized the responsibility of Muslims to enlighten others about Islam and dispel misconceptions to ensure the well-being of all citizens.

The event also featured a significant speech by Maulana Abdul Aleem Khatib Nadvi, the Khatib of Bhatkal Jamia Masjid. Tanzeem President Inayatullah Shabandari delivered the presidential address, outlining the Tanzeem's initiatives in addressing public issues. Distinguished guests, including Qazi of Markazi Khalifa Jamatul Muslimeen Bhatkal Maulana Khaja Moinuddin Akrami Madani, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Bhatkal President Maulana Zubair Nadvi, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Secretary in the Mangalore Region Syed Ismail, and Tanzeem Vice President Muhiddin Ruknuddin, were present on the dais.

The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Tanzeem Secretary Jilani Shabandri welcomed the attendees and introduced the guests, while Taimur Gawai Nadvi conducted the program, concluding with a vote of thanks. The event was well-attended by a large number of Bhatkal citizens and dignitaries, filling the hall to capacity.
