New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on the BJP's ideology, alleging that it has plunged Manipur into chaos. Speaking at a party rally in Mangarh Dham, located in Rajasthan's Banswara district, Gandhi claimed that if Prime Minister Narendra Modi desired, he could extinguish the flames of turmoil within Manipur in just two to three days.

During his address, Gandhi accused the Prime Minister of fostering division within Manipur, asserting that for the past several months, the northeastern state has felt detached from the rest of India. Ethnic violence has ravaged Manipur since May 3, leading to the deaths of over 150 individuals due to clashes between the Meitei majority and the Kuki tribal community.

The rally, organized on the occasion of World Tribal Day, serves as the launch of the Congress party's campaign for the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan later this year.

Gandhi criticized the BJP for referring to tribal people as "Vanvasi" instead of "Adivasi," which he deemed an insult. He accused the BJP of appropriating tribal lands and allocating them to corporate entities like Adani.

In contrast, Gandhi emphasized that the Congress is dedicated to upholding the rights of tribal populations and ensuring their aspirations are realized. He highlighted the party's commitment to enabling the fulfillment of the dreams of tribal communities.
