Mangaluru: The contentious sign board at Puttur Taluk Hospital, which sparked widespread debate, has been removed by the hospital authorities in Mangaluru.  

Initially, a photograph of the sign board, which read "Remove your burkha before entering," located outside the doors of the ICU, circulated on social media, quickly going viral.  

Following the public outcry, the hospital promptly took action and removed the controversial sign board.
