Hubballi (TNN): Old Hubballi police personnel have seized unaccounted cash of Rs 18 lakh that was reportedly being transported in a car from Ankola to Hubballi, during inspection at a checkpost at Karwar on Sunday.

According to police, they stopped the car and found the cash, which was being transported without proper documentation. on questioning, passengers failed to provide proof. “Senior police officials and the tahsildar rushed to the spot, and an inquiry is on,” they added.
