Mangaluru(DHNS): The Election Commission has introduced a software for the benefit of political parties to seek permission for conducting various programmes.

‘‘The parties should apply to hold meetings, programmes, rallies, vehicle rallies and other election-related programmes through the Suvidha portal by furnishing the required documents,’’ DC Ravi Kumar M R said.

It is a single-window system. Once the applications are submitted, officials will verify them and issue permits. The applicants can download the permission letter online.

For permission, they have to visit https://suvidha.eci.gov.in.

‘’Suvidha’s single window system counter has been opened in returning officer’s office for early disposal of the application. For the district-level permission, a single window system has been opened at the district election officer’s office,’’ the DC said.
