Mangaluru( DHNS): Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) released its student manifesto with the objective of impressing upon other political parties to incorporate these student-centric aspirations in their manifestos to be released during Assembly elections.

SIO Karnataka secretary Muhammed Nasir told mediapersons at Patrika Bhavan on Tuesday that the SIO urges government to implement a programme to eliminate malnutrition, strengthen anganwadi system, provide scholarships and uniform to needy students and to fill up vacant teaching posts across government schools.

“The government should take measures to fill up the vacant posts in other departments of the government. The Fisheries College should be granted with a university status. A government medical college should be established in Mangaluru. Measures should be taken to improve the administration system in Mangalore University,” he said.
