Hebri: Two teachers from Udupi tragically lost their lives in a car accident, while another teacher in the same vehicle suffered severe injuries when their car collided with a bus near Sitanadi Jakkanamakki in Hebri taluk on Sunday Morning.

The collision took place between a car heading towards Udupi, carrying the teachers who had attended a wedding in Channagiri, and a bus en route to Agumbe from Udupi.

The individuals who lost their lives have been identified as Subbanna Ganiga, a first-class assistant at the Udupi DDPI office, and Soma Shekhar, a physical education teacher at Indira Nagar School in Udupi.

Sudarshan, another teacher, sustained severe injuries in the accident, while Satish, the driver of the car, was also admitted to Manipal Hospital for medical treatment.
