Mangaluru: In a devastating incident on Sunday evening, a 19-year-old youth named Shareefuddin lost his life due to electrocution near the banks of the Kumaradhara River in Adekkal, Hirebandadi, Puttur Taluk.

Authorities revealed that despite immediate medical attention and his prompt transfer to Puttur Government Hospital, the doctors sadly confirmed that his cause of death was electrocution. As a result, Uppinangady police station has registered a case in connection with this unfortunate incident.
