Udupi Murder Case; Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar met the family members and offered condolences

Udupi: State Women and Child Development and Udupi District In-charge Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar on Friday visited the Nezari house where the murders took place and offered condolences to Hasina's husband Noor Muhammad and her son Asad and other family members.

Speaking to the media, the minister said that the man who brutally killed four members of the same family had committed a heinous crime. The government is with the family of the deceased and has visited the house and offered condolences. The police department has done a commendable job by quickly arresting the accused. We will strive to ensure that justice is served as soon as possible, he said.

Udupi district is a peaceful district. Such an incident should not have happened here. Precautionary measures have been taken and law and order will be maintained in all ways. He said that he will discuss with the Collector and the SP about making all necessary arrangements for security, including the installation of CCTV.

The family has demanded that the case be tried by a fast-track court and that a special public prosecutor be appointed. He said that whatever action is possible to be taken by the government within the legal framework, it will be done.

Even though I was in Belgaum, I was in constant touch with the victim's family, the Collector, and the senior police. I called the brothers of the deceased woman and got complete information. Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar said that we will fulfill our duty and responsibility wherever we are.

District Collector Vidyakumari, District Superintendent of Police Dr. K. Arun, District Panchayat CEO H. Prasanna, Congress leaders like Gopal Pujari, Muniyalu Udaya Shetty, Prasad Raj Kanchan, MA Ghafoor were present on this occasion.

Psychopathic killer

The accused is exhibiting signs of psychopathy. He is married and has two children. He acted like a psychopathic killer and committed this act in just 20 minutes. It is unclear what his state of mind was at the time.

Noor Muhammad demanded the appointment of Advocate Shivprasad Alva as Special PP

Noor Muhammad submitted a request to Udupi District In-charge Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar today demanding that my wife's child massacre case should be tried by a special speedy court and speedy justice should be given and the accused should be given severe punishment.

The Home Department should treat this act as a special case by appointing a special public prosecutor. Senior advocate Shivprasad Alva has demanded in the petition that he should be appointed as a special public prosecutor.

'Let the death penalty be the punishment'

Hasina's brother Ashraf insisted that our main demand is that Praveen Chowgule, the accused who annihilated the entire family, should be sentenced to death.
