Kundapur: Two accused who were allegedly involved in three different crime cases were sentenced to life imprisonment by the Udupi district and session court. The court also imposed penalty amount of  Rs. 30 thousand.

The accused were identified as Rajesh and Raghav both hailing from neighboring state Kerala.

It is said that in 2010, they had tried for looting a house by breaking its main door and also at the same time injured the person named Vivek, who stopped them from doing so. However, they fled the scene after stealing his expensive cellphone from him. It is also said that after some duration, they attacked two passengers in the bus using iron rods and knife and looted away the cash amount and cellphones from them. After the Court's hearing and fulfillment of the verdict, the duo were sentenced to life imprisonment.

Apart from this, the duo were also involved in the murder of Byndoor police jeep driver Sudheer Shirukar, for which the punishment was announced earlier.
