Bhatkal: A bike-car collision in Shiroor, near Bhatkal, left a father and daughter seriously injured, with the father's condition reported as critical.

According to sources, Ismail Beary (around 57 years old), a resident of Mughlihonda in Bhatkal, was riding a scooter with his 25-year-old daughter and two grandchildren. They were on their way to invite his brother, residing in Shiroor, to his son's wedding. The accident occurred at around 9 PM on Wednesday night when their scooter was hit by an oncoming car.

Ismail sustained severe head and leg injuries and was initially taken to Kundapur Hospital before being shifted to Manipal Hospital for further treatment. His daughter was also injured and has been admitted to Kundapur Hospital. Fortunately, both grandchildren escaped unhurt.
