Sirsi: In a ghastly road accident that happened in between a car and a bus, father-son duo were reportedly killed on the spot. The accident took place today on 14th March, Wednesday near Gidamavinkatte region in Sirsi taluk.

The deceased has been identified as Subbu Bhadra Gauda (32) and his son Chirag (4), both residents of Challegadde in Sirsi taluk.

Sources informed that the accident happened when the passenger bus coming from Balesar towards Sirsi route rammed into a car which was heading towards Siddapur from Sirsi. The impact of the collision was such that the duo father-son traveling in the car received severe injuries, which caused them to succumb to it on the spot.

In the accident, the bus after colliding with the car slipped into the ditch across the road. However, it is yet to be ascertain whether the passengers present in it received injuries or not.
