Karwar: An automobile garage was reportedly gutted to fire after an accidental fire engulfed in the early evening hours of  Saturday at Ankola in Uttara Kannada district.

According to sources, the garage 'Sri Sai auto garage' belonging to Shridar Balakrishna Naik was gutted to fire due to short circuit. 

As the information was alerted, fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and were engaged in rubbing out the high blaze of fire. Due to incident, many bikes were seen turned to ash and the exact loss is yet to be ascertained.

A case has been registered in Ankola police station.
