Udupi: A fishing boat which was damaged after hitting a breakwater capsized near the estuary off Malpe harbour.

The engine of the boat had developed technical snag.

The boat 'Dhatthathreya' belonged to Ashwath Kumar from Udyavara.

The loss is estimated to be around Rs 26 lakh. Four fishermen, who were on-board the boat, were rescued by the crew of another boat. The fishing boat had ventured into fishing in the wee hours of Friday.
