Karwar: As part of the Amrit mahotsav of independence and the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, fit India freedom run was held in Karwar recently.

The district administration, Nehru Yuva Kendra, NCC Naval and Army Units jointly conducted the freedom run. 

The freedom run started from the premises of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, went through national highway-66 and RTO office and later ended in the Deputy Commissioner’s office premises.

NCC cadets of various schools and colleges participated in it. Nehru Yuva Kendra district officer Yashwant Yadav, District Youth Empowerment Department Assistant Director Gayatri, NCC team Commanding Officer Vijaykumar, and others were present on the occasion.
