Yellapur: Transport Minister H M Revanna laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new bus stand here recently.

Speaking on the occasion, Revanna said, Siddaramaiah-led State government had fulfilled all its promises made during the elections.

Constructing the new bus stand in the town was on the top of the government's agenda for the development of Uttara Kannada. By laying the foundation stone, the government had fulfilled that demand also, he added.

MLA Shivaram Hebbar, NWKRTC Chairman Sadanand Danganavar, NWKRTC director G M Shetty, ZP member Jayamma Krishna Hirehalla, Ravigouda Patil, L T Patil, Rafiq Inamdar,  Pandurang Naik, Seenayya, Ramanagoudar and others were present.
