Bhatkal: Uttara Kannada district in-charge minister Mankal Vaidya warned officials that failure to utilise development funds for the financial year 2025-26 within the stipulated time would invite action.
Chairing the quarterly review meeting of the Karnataka Development Programme (KDP) at the taluk panchayat hall, Vaidya directed all departments to ensure that allocated funds are fully spent before the end of March.
“If funds are returned due to non-utilisation at the panchayat or taluk level, the officials concerned will be held responsible,” he said.
Referring to the expiry of the term of gram panchayat members, the minister said public services must not be disrupted and warned that officials would be accountable for any governance lapses at the local level.
