Ankola: In a horrific road accident that happened in between passenger tempo and a scooter, a 6-yr-old girl was killed on the spot, while her parents sustained severe injuries. The accident took place near Madangeri village of Ankola taluk on Thursday, June 21 evening.

The deceased has been identified as Sinchana Keshav Ambiga.

According to the sources, the accident happened when trio was traveling in their scooter when a speedy tempo boarding people for wedding  crashed them head-on. The impact of the collision was such that Sinchana succumbed to the injuries on the spot, while her parents Keshav Ambiga and Sudha Ambiga sustained grievous injuries. The injured were immediately taken to Karwar district hospital for treatment.

A case stands registered in Ankola police station.
