Given priority to human resources: Ananth Kumar Hegde

Honnavar: The reservation and marks cards will not lead students to secure high posts in the present competitive era, stated Union Minister of State for Skill Development Ananth Kumar Hegde.

He noted this while speaking after inaugurating the MPE Society’s Dr M P Kari Institute of Excellence and Research in Honnavar on Saturday.

Earlier, the marks card were mandatory to get the jobs. But now a days, it is necessary to have creative skills along with the marks. As hard work is a key to success, one can not reach their aim without doing hard work, he opined.

“Instead of giving priority to the infrastructure and equipment, one should stress upon the human resources,” he pointed and said, the ministry will help the organization, which would come up to make which would come up to make use of the opportunities, for the upliftment of research and skill development.

Under the Sankalpa Scheme, the programmes will be organized in upcoming days, with an expenditure of Rs 6.50 crore to develop the entrepreneurship skills among the people in the district , he informed. The workshops on skill development will also be held at SDM College in Honnavar.. College Principal S S Hegde thanked the minister for providing Rs 15 lakh fund to set up the virtual lab in the college.
