Mangaluru: Officers of Mangaluru Customs at Mangalore International Airport seized 201.200 grams of gold, 24 carat purity, from a passenger who arrived from Dubai.

According to officials, the value of gold is Rs 9,57,712. That apart, four gold coins weighing 24 grams, worth Rs 1,04,640, and an Apple iPhone 13 Pro 256 GB Sierra Blue worth Rs 1,02, 600 and 12 bottles of assorted perfumes worth Rs 1,69,500 were also seized.

The gold was smuggled in an oval-shaped capsules concealed in the body. Gold coins were found in the trouser of the passenger.
