Bhatkal: In an unfortunate incident on Saturday morning, two unidentified men on a motorbike targeted two women walking near Kaikini village, close to Heradi Cross in Bhatkal taluk.

The victims have been identified as Prema Sitaram Shetty (65) and Mohini Narayan Shetty (68), both residents of Kaikini Heradi Cross.

The robbers seized gold ornaments weighing approximately 45 grams. During the incident, Prema's gold chain broke, with half of it left on the road.

The Murdeshwar police have been informed, and Bhatkal DySP Srikant assured that the police are actively working to track down the accused soon.
