Mangaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the state government is against any communal organisations in the state. “Be it Muslim fundamentalists or Hindu fundamentalists, we are against it,” he said at the Mangaluru International Airport on Sunday.

To a query on BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa stating that BJP legislators will release documents against the chief minister during the session on Monday, he said, “The Congress-led government is free from scandals. The BJP has no issues to raise. Hence, they are engaged in leveling allegations against us. What does he (Yeddyurappa) have to say on FIRs against him? Is there any FIR against me? What has he to tell on serving the jail?” On PETA filing a petition in the Supreme Court against Kambala, the Chief Minister said,“We are in favour of Kambala.” The chief minister was in Mangaluru to take part in a marriage function, at Belthangady.
