Mundgod: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has bagged hundreds of awards. Its services have got recognition at international level. Soon it will find a place in the Guinness Book of World Records, said Transport Minister H M Revanna.

After laying the foundation stone for a new bus terminal being built a a cost of Rs 3.98 crore at Mundagod town in Uttara Kannada district on Tuesday, he said the BJP-led Union Government had promised to generate two million jobs every year, but it has failed to do so. However, the state has given employment to more than a lakh of people. The Transport and Energy departments have recruited 37,000 and 65,000 candidates respectively, he claimed.

On separate religious status to Lingayat, Revanna said the government has not made separate religion for political gain.

“The Lingayats were demanding separate religion status to their community. The government has ensured justice to them. We have not divided the Hindus and we are not here to change the Constitution like the BJP leaders,” he said.
