Bhatkal: The Karnataka State Haj Committee, in association with the renowned social organization Majlise Islah wa Tanzeem Bhatkal, has organized a Hajj Training and Vaccination Camp in Bhatkal on May 24th. This camp is specifically designed for Hajj pilgrims from the Uttara Kannada district.

As per the press release issued by Tanzeem, the camp will be held at Bhatkal Tanzeem Hall in collaboration with the Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation. A total of 151 Hajj pilgrims from Uttara Kannada district will receive training and vaccination at Tanzeem Hall, Bhatkal, from 10 am to 4.30 pm. Participants are required to bring a passport-size photograph and a certificate of having received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Azizur Rahman Ruknuddin Nadvi, President of the Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation, stated that a significant number of people from Bhatkal in Uttara Kannada district undertake the Hajj pilgrimage each year. This year, out of the 151 pilgrims from Uttara Kannada, 102 are from Bhatkal.

In previous years, vaccination was provided at the district center in Karwar, which is located 125 km away from Bhatkal. This posed a challenge for the large number of pilgrims from Bhatkal. To address this issue, efforts were made to organize a training and vaccination camp in Bhatkal itself. The Karnataka State Haj Committee was approached to arrange for the camp in Bhatkal.

Azizur Rahman further mentioned that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure the comfort of the participants. Breakfast and a mid-day meal will be provided for the camp attendees. They have urged all pilgrims from the district to actively participate in this camp.
