Haliyal: Three persons were killed in a head-on collision between two bikes that took place near Mudnalli in Haliyal taluk on Saturday evening. 

The deceased have been identified as bike riders Ramesh Mukund Rahut (38) of Alnavar, Manjunath Maruti Bhovi (30) and pillion rider Kumar Pundlik Mirashi (28) of Teragao Haliyal. 

A case has been registered at Haliyal police station and investigation is on.
