Karwar: In light of partial damage caused by heavy rainfall to the 10 Number Bridge on the Ramnagar–Jagalbet–Dandeli route, the district administration has imposed a temporary ban on the movement of heavy vehicles on this stretch, citing public safety concerns.

Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate K. Lakshmi Priya has issued an official order prohibiting the passage of heavy vehicles on the said bridge until further notice. An alternate route has been designated for heavy vehicles, which are now instructed to travel via State Highway 34 through Ramnagar, Jagalbet, and Ganeshgudi to reach Dandeli.

Authorities have urged transporters and the general public to cooperate with the new traffic arrangement until the bridge is fully restored and safe for use.
