Mangaluru: A man was stabbed to death at Kuntapady Jeppu in the city after two miscreants barged into his house on 13th January, Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Ilyas aka Target Ilyas, who belonged to a notorious gang called ‘Target Group’.
According to sources, two assailants barged into Ilyas’s house on Saturday and stabbed him in the chest. He was rushed to a private hospital. However, he could not be saved and was declared dead by the doctors.
The police suspect that the attack was made by a rival gang. Ilyas was recently arrested in Farangipet murder case and was released from jail on bail three days ago.
The police commissioner has formed three special teams to nab the accused.
