Honnavar: A biker sustained serious injuries after being attacked by a leopard near Santheguli in Honnavar Taluk.

The victim, identified as Prashant Shridhar Bhat, was returning home after visiting relatives when the leopard suddenly pounced on him. He suffered injuries to his face and shoulder and was admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Forest officials visited the hospital and recorded his statement. This incident has sparked renewed fear among locals, as a leopard was recently trapped and relocated from the nearby Jadigadde area.
